Download & Install

The quickest / easiest way to download and install (or update) MCT is the single-setup download.
Once downloaded, run SetupMCT.exe and the installer will download the latest version, setup all necessary components and install / update MCT.


Offline Setup

If you would like to download MCT to setup offline, later or another device, you can download the full install here. Once downloaded, extract the zip file and run MCTInstaller.exe to install / update MCT. Note: You MUST extract the zip first!


Manual Setup

If you encounter any issues installing MCT and / or would like to install manually, follow these instructions:
  1. Download the MCT Offline Setup from here
  2. Extract the downloaded Zip file to a suitable location
  3. Locate the 'DCSMCT_[version]_64.cer' file and double-click it
  4. Click 'Install Certificate'
  5. Choose Local Machine
  6. Choose 'Place all certificates in the following store'
  7. Click Browse and select 'Trusted People' - Click Ok
  8. Click Finish
  9. Click Ok to the 'The import was successful' message
  10. Locate and run the MCT_[Version_Number]_x64.msix file to install / update MCT.


Troubleshooting

  • MCT Downloads when I run SetupMCT.exe but nothing happens after...
    This may happen if you are missing the Microsoft App Installer. You download this from the Microsoft store by searching for "App Installer".

  • I'm trying to install MCT from the zip but it keeps failing with "Something unexpected has happened - please see the Installation guide on the MCT Discord for additional instructions"...
    Make sure you have actually extracted MCT.zip - running the MCTInstaller.exe file inside the archive does not work.

  • MCT crashes / reports problems with Kneeboards, Elevation or other downloaded templates / content...
    When downloading resources for MCT, ensure that anything you've downloaded has been 'Unblocked' - right click on the file, choose properties then tick "Unblock" at the bottom.
